Web Traffic News: Four Tech Trends

SEO News

By way of a small business owner, manager or up-to-date employee, it’s more essential than ever to stay on top of the newest technology. But with all the expressions out there, it can be a annoyance to figure out what’s what and which styles are here to stay. Here, we offer our descriptions of the technologies that are redesigning the way we do stuffs.

Web Traffic

  1. Cloud Computing: Cloud storage is just a new addition for the Internet. Thus cloud computing is simply online or Web-based software and services. They are way cheaper and easier to use than purchasing a new hard drive and keeping software on your own machines. They can contain everything from financial software to document and file storing. But be careful — not all cloud solutions are similar. So safety, reliability and service will vary.
  2. Crowdsourcing: It sounds odd, but crowdsourcing mostly involves outsourcing work to a crowd of people. There’s real work being done over crowdsourcing sites for instance, crowd SPRING, Crowd Flower and Trada. To crowdsource a plan, you submit an open call to a network of professionals, such as software developers or graphic designers, and receive a variety of answers or ideas in reply.
  3. SEO: Search engine optimization (SEO) is about pushing web traffic to your website. It contains various layouts meant to improve the probabilities of people coming from search engines. For instance, if you sell antique furniture in Houston, you want to make sure your website seem top on the list next time somebody does a search for “Antique furniture Houston”.
  4. Virtualization: This tech has been around for several years, but it’s still puzzling, mainly as you can “virtualize” pretty much any part of hardware or software. In easy words, you’re making a virtual version of it rather than having to acquire the actual version. And certainly, it’s legitimate. The eldest form is operating system virtualization, which lets a piece of hardware to run several operating system images at the same time. So, you don’t have to purchase and maintain as many machines for using those OS’s.

Without a doubt, this is a small list of the tech terms that drive small-business owners crazy. But it’s up to you to understand the buzz and decide which technologies you have to invest in. So keep up with us by sharing your opinions in the comments.

If you’re going to store a lot of photos, though, that 5GB is not going to last.

Niche Sites Are Champions. Long gone are the days when you could launch a 20 page niche site and make hundreds of dollars a month from it but still niche sites do much better than general interest sites. So, if you have 10 niches you want to cover, start 10 separate sites instead of throwing all the content in one single site.

The expensive plan, named Unlimited Everything, offers exactly what its name says. You can store as many photos, videos, music, documents and other files as you like for as long as you like as long as you keep paying Amazon the price of two cheeseburgers at McDonald’s every month. Right now, Amazon offers a three-month free trial for both Unlimited Photos and Unlimited Everything plan.

You will be able to stream music to your Android or iOS device using the Amazon MP3 app, but unlike other services that offer plenty of other features for working with those files, Cloud Drive is a cheap, basic offering that’s good enough for the price.

The downside is you won’t be able to do much with your files.

This one was learned the hard way. Yes, SEO success needs time and patience but when it is obvious from the start something is not working, the best you can do is drop losers fast. This applies to projects and clients as well. It makes no sense to spend years on something that might work ‐ it’s either working or not ‐ the more you wait, the more you lose, so terminate a loser project asap.

With more consumers owning more computers, tablets, smartphones, and other electronic devices, it is no longer practical to keep all your files in one computer that you can’t bring with you wherever you go.
